Takashi Murakami's authentic Louis Vuitton bags outside on street displays at the Brooklyn Museum. The artist himself, below.
Gorgeous new ad campaign for Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2008 season, shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. It features languid femme-fatales, sporting the latest in must-have LV logo-ed handbags, laying atop bright-colored car hoods. That got my motor running! Vroom!!!
The hand-picked beauties who adorn the images are the creme of supermodels, like Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Stephanie Seymour, Claudia Schiffer, Angela Lindvall and Natalia Vodianova. I am surprised not to see Giselle Bundchen in it, but what do I know?
Marc Jacobs shares with us the thinking behind the new campaign:
“I thought the idea of hot chicks and cars was really cool - and very Richard Prince.”
