Heath Ledger Dead at 28

I am so shocked right now! I just heard on CNN that actor Heath Ledger was found dead at his NYC apartment. There are rumors of a drug overdose, depression and prescription drugs but nothing has been confirmed yet. The Australian actor was only 28 years old and leaves a daughter with actress Michelle Williams, whom he met during filming Brokeback Mountain.
I just saw the trailer of the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight" a couple of weeks ago, which Ledger play The Joker and he was just so great! So sad...

I just posted something about Heath too. This is so sad, I'm still in shock, he was by far one of the greatest actors of our generation

A colossal loss. Heath was a conscientious actor, a sensitive man and not only a knockout but all the charm to go with it. Heath was an actor who took responsibility for his work and gave his roles everything he had (maybe too much). I'll never forget the first images of him from KNIGHT'S TALE and how instantly smitten I was with him, then seeing him on screen so vulnerable, charming and lovable... a rare gem of a person even the abstraction of a character can't obscure. After BROKEBACK came out, I attended a Q&A screening with Heath and Michelle at the Screen Actor's Guild. He was so generous with advice and inside information for those of us actors who really cherish the work and I'll be forever thankful for his generosity. I was too shy to shake his hand much less look him in the eyes though I had every opportunity to do so, instead I could only stand near him stealing glances from a couple feet away while I spoke with Michele. If I hadn't fallen in love with Heath before, when I saw BROTHERS GRIMM I was then head over heels- not only was his acting work TOP NOTCH, his personal vulnerability and charm (that I found in person) were all there. I hope he rests in peace and I am profoundly sad he is gone. My best to Michelle and Matilda, his family and to all the other hardcore fans. We can cherish his films and I hope people, if they haven't already, can now see that he was a brilliant and conscientious actor who gave much of himself.
