Philippe Stark Gun Lamps @ Moss

The Gun Lamp collection by French designer Phillipe Stark was introduced as prototype in the spring of 2005 at the Salone del Mobile in Milan and at Moss during ICFF. The prototype lamps - cast from actual guns, with some details removed - were gold-leafed and signed by Starck. The two styles show here are made in Italy by Flos, in gold-plated die-cast aluminum alloy and sold through Moss. The Gun Lamp table lamp is 36.4 h x 20 d x 11" base diameter and retails for $1,596.00. The Bedside Gun table lamp is 16.8 h x 6.3 base diameter x 9.3 (shade) and is priced at $860.00.
I actually love them both but the pistol shape is awesome, in a Scarface type of way! It would be a great accent to an eclectic or contemporary room, but only fitting in a home whose owner has a sense of humour otherwise it would be a little too Sopranos for my taste.
