Nicole Kidman may be the "Big Hollywood Star" in Vanity Fair's October issue's cover, but in my opinion the real deal is Ziyi Zhang, photographed by Michael Roberts. Zhang has been a favorite of mine since I first saw her in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", "Hero" and "House of Flying Daggers", all of which I own in DVD. She has such a flawless kind of beauty - gorgeous face and porcelain skin - that combined with her superb martial-arts skills makes her even more fascinating. She stars in two new movies -The Horsemen, with Dennis Quaid, out in December, and Mei Lan-Fang, a biopic about China's most famous opera singer. The last is the inspiration for "Star of China", VF's gorgeous pictorial of Ziyi Zhang by Michael Roberts.
